Red Bull athlete Dougie Lampkin returned to action after last weekend's break, when he contested the now infamous Hell's Gate extreme enduro held in the Italian hills. Lampkin has a strong association with this unique competition having placed third during his debut back in 2009 and then winning it a year later, before finishing as runner-up twelve months ago.

Lampkin has ridden in every Sheffield indoor trial since its inception in 1996, with the now thirty-five year old holding a record-breaking run of fifteen consecutive appearances and an unequalled eight successive wins over the last decade and a half.

Dougie Lampkin - Gas Gas once again showed gutsy determination as he rode through the pain barrier to record a top ten finish overall at the second round of the 2012 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship held at Lodz, Poland. The thirty-five year old veteran campaigner flew to Poland having been unable to ride his enduro bike since he sustained the injury to his chest at the opening round of the series in Italy two weeks ago. Lampkin under went treatment when he returned to the UK to rectify what was finally diagnosed as a misaligned rib.

2011 SPEA FIM TRIAL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
 - ROUND THREE - POBLADURA DE LAS REGUERAS, SPAIN  

Twelve times FIM Trial World Champion Dougie Lampkin's appearance at the Spanish Trial Grand Prix, held at Pobladura de las Regueras, was very short lived as the thirty-five year old was forced to retire after just three sections. Lampkin crashed heavily on the third steep and dusty hazard and in doing so aggravated his on going ankle injury, which was originally sustained at the Scottish Six Days Trial back in early May. Dougie missed both days of the French GP in an attempt to be fit for this round, but in the end circumstances transpired against him once again.
